We're Going on a Bear Hunt Relaxed Performance at The Town Hall Birmignham

Review written by by Sarah Holley

We were gifted tickets to go and see a relaxed performance of We’re Going On a Bear Hunt at the Birmingham Town Hall and we had a wonderful experience. We took our 5 year old daughter and 7 year old son who has autism and sensory processing disorder and when we were shown to our seats we were told if our child needed to move around, get up etc then that was no problem. Before the show someone came on the stage and explained that the lights in the room would remain on, the doors to the hall would stay open and children could get up, move around as and when they needed. One amazing feature is the offer of a chill out zone upstairs with colouring, bean bags and calming activities for children who needed space which I thought was incredible. The performance itself was brilliant. The audience were involved from the start and the songs and music were excellent. We were really made to feel like nothing was too much trouble and were able to enjoy a family trip out all together.

I would highly recommend the relaxed performances and commend the staff for their understanding and care taken to ensure all families had a wonderful experience.
