Last night the Symphony Hall in Birmingham rocked with the music of Whitney Houston sung incredibly by Belinda Davids and accompanied by the National Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.

As a huge Whitney fan in my teens, this was a very special treat that I was really looking forward. It didn’t disappoint one bit in fact it amazed me and moved me to tears on many occasions. The quality of the band, orchestra and singers was just fantastic. There were also two mesmerizing dancers that I couldn’t take my eyes off.

Davids sang a complete mixture of Whitney songs, some to dance to, some to sway to and with all the classics in between.

For someone who grew up with Whitney, the songs evoked such powerful memories. If you have a chance to go to The Greatest Love of All, do it. I’d definitely go again given the chance.
