Today we were lucky enough to have an afternoon tea at the Crowne Plaza in Solihull.  It is well situated in the centre of Solihull opposite the Touchwood shopping centre.   This meant we were able to have a shop first and then indulge in cake and sandwiches at the hotel after.  Bliss! 

 

The Crowne Plaza restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with contemporary decor and welcoming staff.  As we settled down into our seats we were offered tea and prosecco.  Two of my  favourite things!  The afternoon tea was brought out which consisted of a generous selection of sandwiches, cakes and warm scones.  The real highlight were the delicious cakes.  We both agreed the red velvet cake full of buttercream was our favourite.

As we finished our afternoon tea and left the Crowne Plaza we both agreed what a lovely afternoon we had, had and would definitely recommend it.
