Gangsta Granny at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre

23rd February- 26th February 2022

We are big fans of David Walliams' books and our current favourite is Gangsta Granny.  When we were invited to see it on the stage we jumped at the chance and it didn't disappoint.

For those who haven't read it yet.  Gangsta Granny follows the story of a boy called Ben and his Granny who is very partial to cabbage.  Ben finds his Granny very boring and dreads his weekly Friday night sleepovers until he uncovers a secret life that Granny has been hiding.  This leads to an adventure like no other.

The story worked really well on the stage.  The set design was very clever and the actors brought the story to life beautifully.  This was a heart warming production which made the whole family roar with laughter but also shed a few tears at the end.  This would be a fantastic February half term treat!
