Monday 11th April Umberslade Adventure
​
A woodland adventure play area encouraging the participation of outdoor activities for families to have some fun and learn new skills at the same time. While you are there you can participate in the high ropes, archery, zip lines, den building, tree climbing and lots more.

Tuesday 12th April Free craft activities at the Hive
​
FREE fun family activities from 10-3. Have a go at making a clay boat and test it’s float-ability! Or maybe you’d like to design your very own enamel mug? You could use the Rose and Castle pattern seen on Birmingham's canal boats as inspiration!
Why not smudge, scribble and make your mark on our life size canal boat? Help us colour it in all the colours of the rainbow.

Wednesday 13th April Shark in the Park theatre production at the MAC

From the creative team behind ‘The Hairy Maclary show’ - see all 3 of Nick Sharratt’s ‘Shark in the Park’ books live on Stage at the MAC. Featuring all 3 of the ‘Shark in the Park’ Series – Shark in the Park, Shark in the Dark and Shark in the Park on a Windy Day – this fin-tastic, family musical follows Timothy Pope (and his telescope!) on 3 exciting adventures.

Thursday 14th April Easter at Becketts Farm

Easter is a special time of year at Becketts Farm. Come along for a fun-filled event where you will learn about the chick hatching process, and if you’re lucky, you may see one hatching! There will also be Ewes and Lambs, Goats and Kids and Chickens.

Friday 15th April Free Easter Trail at Moorpool Hall
The Easter bunny seems to have lost their carrots. From Friday 15th April pick up a free trail from outside the Main Hall entrance and go on a carrot hunt!
Once completed pop your trail into the post box at the Hall Office (accessed via steps or ramp down to Lower Hall), to be entered into a competition.

Sunday 17th April Alice in Easter Wonderland at Dudley Canal

Soon Alice and characters from Lewis Carroll’s novel will be at Dudley Canal to entertain you and add a magical element to an already exciting experience here at Dudley Canal and Caverns.
Collect your goodie bag and jump onboard our 45 minute themed boat trip, which will take you on a fabulous journey through the tunnels and caverns to see if you can spot the hidden Easter eggs.

Hop on down to Selly Manor this Easter for eggcellent activities. Eggsplore the garden and take part in our fantastic egg hunt, get creative and create some eggtremely cool Easter themed crafts plus play games in the lovely Selly Manor garden. Plus you can visit the Tudor manor for dressing up, a family trail and lots of hands on experiences.

Wednesday 20th April Children's Mushroom Drawing Workshop at the Hive

As part of the Hive Okta residency programme, Emily has been growing oyster mushrooms on coffee grounds as a way of turning waste into food. All materials provided or bring along your favourite drawing materials and get ready to learn about the world of fungi! Suitable for ages 7-11, adult supervision is required.

Saturday 23rd April Private Peaceful at the Rep
​
This theatre production follows the Peaceful brothers, Tommo and Charlie, who have a tough rural childhood facing the loss of their father, financial hardship and a cruel landlord. Set against the epic backdrop of WW1, we join 18-year-old Private Tommo Peaceful in the trenches as he takes us on a journey through his most cherished memories and tells his story of courage, devotion, family and friendship.

Sunday 24th April Free Stick Man Trail at National Memorial Arboretum

Pick up a free copy of the self-led Stick Man trail from our Welcome Desk. We recommend that families wishing to try the trail wear appropriate footwear and clothing. The route may be unsuitable for some pushchairs.
